Investigations
Editorial Policy
Last updated: Oct 5, 2026
The Quiet File is an independent investigative desk. The beat is document-driven accountability reporting. We publish named authors, timestamps, and a way to reach the desk.
Sourcing
We prefer records over rumor. When a claim comes from files, we say so. When a relationship is unclear, we say that too. Nicknames, metadata, and internal labels are not treated as a finished court finding.
Verification
Only material we can check is described as independently verified. Unverified files can still be reported, with the limit stated in the piece. Technical explanations and private-actor readings stay on the page when they apply.
Corrections
If a statement is wrong, email [email protected] with sources. We will review and correct the canonical page when the record requires it. Press inquiries go to [email protected].
Conflicts
The Quiet File is not affiliated with Canary Mission or Sparrow Agency. Mention of any person or group is for reporting and commentary. Paid distribution of a press notice does not change the sourcing standard on the canonical article.
